Nutrient management begins with a proper understanding of the nutrient cycle: inputs, losses, transformations, translocations, sinks, and the environmental, chemical and biological factors that affect the cycle. Current tools use weather inputs to model the fate and availability of nitrogen during the growing season. All models are based on certain assumption, and must be calibrated and correlated to local conditions. This webinar will introduce CCAs to the main components to consider in evaluating models as a nitrogen management tool.
