Shane Swedlund is the Facility & Engineering Manager for Raven Industries Applied Technology Division in Brookings, SD. Shane is involved with SDSU on engineering and precision agriculture initiatives, as well as guiding the engineering and agricultural interns in the Brookings development office. He received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in 1992. Shane currently serves on the SDSU College of Agriculture and Biological Sciences Advisory Board, as well as the Advisory Council for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Shane has worked with Raven Industries for over 22 years – in that time he has held a variety of engineering and management positions within three divisions of Raven. Over the past 13 years his efforts have been focused on Precision Agriculture. Prior to his current position within ATD he also led the technical-support/applications-engineering team and was a Senior Product Manager for Field Computers.
