Irrigation Webinar Series

Irrigation is expanding to non-traditional areas, primarily to maintain yields and provide insurance against in-season water deficits. In many traditionally-irrigated areas, water of sufficient quantity and quality for irrigation is becoming more limited due to drought, declining aquifers, and competition for surface waters. This webinar series will address four topics that are paramount in improving irrigation water use efficiency: soil moisture monitoring methods, evapotranspiration and crop water use estimation methods, irrigation scheduling (when and how much), and efficiency of the most common irrigation methods.
