Nitrogen is often the most limiting nutrient to cereal crop production, and with phosphorus, poses the greatest environmental challenges of all plant essential nutrients. More producers are switching to split-nitrogen and N-season nitrogen applications to limit N losses and limit adverse environmental consequences of N leaching and denitrification. This webinar series will review some of the commercially-available models for in-season N management, and discuss the utility of optical sensors and soil testing to improve N management.
